The OCR Power Server™ (OPS) employed by Annapolis
Technologies is the world's most accurate device for
recognition of English-language, machine-produced characters.
The system employs advanced statistical processing capabilities
to achieve unprecedented levels of OCR accuracy. OPS
is intended for high-volume, high-accuracy applications,
either for full-text conversion or for forms processing.
Image Recognition
Full Text OCR and Form OCR/ICR Processing

Images are useful only if they can be
found when needed. By matching images to a machine-readable
ASCII text version of the image you may now search the
data from the entire document. This is done using OCR
(optical character recognition) processing engines.
The text produced by these engines from machine printed
data can range from extremely accurate to poor, depending
on image quality, resolution, typefaces and the OCR
engine employed. We recommend a careful analysis of
your documents before making a decision on whether to
full-text OCR process them. Form OCR and Intelligent
Character Recognition (ICR) processing differs from
full-text OCR by only translating image form fields
located at specific defined image coordinates. These
field coordinates are always located at the same places
on a given form allowing data to be presented in a database
for large data evaluation and trend analysis. Handprint
recognition is quite practical under these kinds of
constraints.
Whether in stand alone mode or assisted
by human data entry and editing, Form OCR/ICR processing
tremendously reduces the burden of key data entry.

Data Capture

file.
- Field level - Fielded Indexing
If you store your documents in digital or film form
you must be able to retrieve them without searching
manually..If electronic capture of your data is not
accurate enough we offer fielded data entry which
can be delivered in a standard database or ASC II
text format. Our proven and time-tested data validations
will ensure the highest standards of accuracy.
- Full text - Data Entry / OCR Cleanup
We capture data and digitize it for electronic use,
storage and retrieval. When the highest possible levels
of accuracy are critical, we offer OCR (Optical Character
Recognition) with cleanup and data entry services.
The OCR cleanup process identifies suspect OCR characters
and forwards them to a data entry operator for human
verification of the character. If your documents are
handwritten or have deteriorated considerably, OCR
with cleanup may not be practical. In these cases,
Annapolis Technologies offers "Double Key"
manual data entry. Data is simultaneously entered
by two operators and validated by a third for the
highest possible standard of accuracy.

Onsite or offsite, whether the project entails a single

are tight operational controls and thorough document
